中文摘要: 基于计算机网络的并行计算环境,已证明具有很高的性能价格比。并行虚拟机(PVM)是能使一群松散连接的计算机用来作为一台并行计算资源的软件系统,本文剖析了PVM系统的组成和运行机制,描述了系统的特性,并提出了PVM系统待进一步研究和开发的课题。
Abstract:Concurrent computing environments based on computer networks have proven effeetive.PVM (Parallel Vrtual Machine) is a software system that enables a collocation of loosely coupled compute and networks to be used as a coherent and flexible concurrent computational resource. In this paper, the components and running mechanism of the sys-tem are described, and experiences with and enhancements to PVM are proposed.
