Abstract:The impulsive load during the process of steel rolling in metallurgical industry has asignificant effect on power system stability. In this paper, it is proved by simulation thatoscillation of system roltages and rotors will occur beause of the impulsive load in the practical local power system. Based on the simulation, some reasonable adjustment for nonnal operation of power system are provided, so that the security and the stability of the power systemare ensured.
