Abstract:A simple method for estimating the enhancement and decay of the shock waves produced by flyer impacting target is presented in this paper.Using the method,we estimate the enhancement and decay of shock waves in planar aluminum foil impacted by aluminum flyer with spatial distribution of density and velocity.The results are compared with that of numerical simulation in a large electronic computer.
