Abstract:The harmonic pollution problem of power electronic devices becomes more and more serious, and power factor correction technology is the most effective method to solve this problem and the active power factor correction(APFC) technology has become the research focus owing to its unique advantages.The definition and principles of power factor correction are introduced, the working principle of APFC technology is showed according to the APFC circuit.The development trend and various control methods of APFC technology are mainly analyzed.
