中文摘要: 《大学英语 (精读教程 )》中的修辞现象比较全面,修辞手段相当丰富,常见诸于课文的修辞手段有明喻、暗喻、引喻、讽喻、提喻、转喻、拟人、拟物、反语、隽语、夸张、对比等。在学习课文的过程中,自觉熟悉和掌握这些修辞手段就能加深对英语的理解,提高语言的表达能力和对文学作品的欣赏能力。
Abstract:There are varied and comprehensive figures of speech in College English (Intensive Reading), among which simile, metaphor, allusion, allegory, synecdoche, metonymy, personification, plantification, irony, paradox, hyperbole and contrast stand out. As is known, language is a tool of expressing ideas while rhetoric is an art of expressing language. Therefore, it is wise for us to dig out the potentialities of College English (Intensive Reading) and make good use of it as well. Only in this way can we deepen our interest in English and better our language abilities.
