Abstract:summary and classification of the methods of fault location for distribution network is put forward.For different types of fault location algorithm, their basic principles, advantages and disadvantages, and the subsequent improvement are analyzed.Combined with the development trend of the distribution network and user's requirements on the reliability of power supply, a preliminary outlook for the future distribution system fault locating technology is put forward.
